The MG 1/100 Hi-ν Gundam Ver.Ka is a Master Grade interpretation of the legendary Hi-ν Gundam, based on the design presented by renowned mechanical designer Hajime Katoki.
The Hi-ν Gundam is a highly evolved interpretation of the ν Gundam, featuring a more compact and heavily armored silhouette along with the distinctive Fin Funnel system.
This Ver.Ka release places particular emphasis on mechanical detail, articulation, proportions, and transformation gimmicks. The finished model stands approximately 20 cm tall, while the large Fin Funnel system dramatically increases its overall width when deployed.
One of the most recognizable features is the large rear-mounted Fin Funnel rack. The six Fin Funnels can be individually removed and arranged around the mobile suit, allowing builders to reproduce the Hi-ν Gundam's signature funnel deployment configuration.

Based on the mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchika’s Children, this version combines the classic Hi-ν Gundam silhouette with Katoki's distinctive mechanical design philosophy.
The model features a sophisticated internal frame designed to support the large armor sections and extensive weapon equipment. The frame provides a wide range of articulation while maintaining the substantial appearance of the Hi-ν Gundam.
One of the most impressive elements is the Fin Funnel system. All six Fin Funnels are individually articulated and can be removed from the backpack. Their deployment arms allow them to be arranged in different configurations, and dedicated connectors can be used to recreate the funnel system surrounding the mobile suit.
The Fin Funnels can also be connected together to form the distinctive Fin Funnel shield configuration, providing an additional display option beyond the standard backpack arrangement.
The backpack itself incorporates multiple movable sections and can be adjusted to accommodate different display configurations. The rear armor and thruster units are also articulated, helping maintain balance when the large Fin Funnels are deployed.
The kit's armor includes numerous opening and sliding gimmicks. Sections of the armor can be expanded to reveal mechanical details underneath, giving the model the characteristic Ver.Ka maintenance-mode appearance.
The Beam Rifle and Shield are faithfully reproduced with detailed panel separation and articulated components. The shield can be mounted on the arm or connected to the backpack depending on the desired configuration.
The Hi-ν Gundam also includes a large Hyper Bazooka, which can be mounted on the backpack or held by the mobile suit. The bazooka's design and mounting system provide additional display options and allow the model to be posed in a variety of combat configurations.
The included Beam Saber equipment can be stored on the backpack and drawn for close-combat poses. The saber effect parts allow the Hi-ν Gundam to be displayed in dynamic action poses.
Another highlight of the Ver.Ka release is the extensive marking decal sheet. Katoki-designed markings can be applied throughout the armor, producing the highly detailed appearance associated with the Ver.Ka series.
