The ENTRY GRADE 1/144 Build Strike Exceed Galaxy is a modern evolution of the Build Strike Gundam, created for the Gundam Build Series 10th Anniversary project and featured in Gundam Build Metaverse.
Based on the original Strike Gundam design, the Exceed Galaxy represents a new generation of Build Strike customization. The design retains the familiar proportions and recognizable silhouette of the Strike family while introducing newly designed armor, weapons, backpack equipment, and extensive customization points.
Bandai's ENTRY GRADE engineering allows the model to achieve an impressive combination of easy assembly, excellent articulation, and detailed color separation. The kit is designed so that many parts can be removed from the runners by hand using the touch-gate system, reducing the need for traditional tools during assembly.
One of the biggest advantages of this kit is its color separation. Multiple molded colors are carefully divided throughout the body so that the completed model can achieve a colorful and accurate appearance without relying heavily on stickers.
The Exceed Galaxy is also designed with customization in mind. Numerous 3mm connection points are integrated into the body, arms, legs, backpack, and other areas. These hard points allow builders to attach additional equipment and experiment with different Gunpla configurations.
The included booster unit can be attached to the arms or legs, while the backpack incorporates a transformation and docking gimmick. The backpack can function as the Galaxy Fighter, adding another display configuration to the model.
The main weapon is the distinctive Beam Rifle, which incorporates an interesting transformation gimmick. The weapon can be separated into different components, allowing the rifle and sword configurations to be recreated.
A dedicated Exceed Joint system further increases the kit's customization potential. The joint parts can be used with compatible equipment and Gunpla components, making this kit an excellent starting point for custom builds.
Despite its relatively low part count compared with more advanced Gunpla grades, the Exceed Galaxy demonstrates how far Bandai's modern ENTRY GRADE engineering has progressed.
