The MG 1/100 Gundam Dynames faithfully recreates the GN-002 Dynames from Mobile Suit Gundam 00 with a completely new Master Grade design. Bandai developed the kit specifically around the Dynames' unique sniper configuration and precision-combat mechanics.
One of the most recognizable features is the enormous GN Sniper Rifle, which can be equipped with its support stand to reproduce the distinctive prone sniper position. The head and leg mechanisms are specifically engineered to accommodate this firing posture.
The kit also reproduces the Dynames' characteristic GN Full Shield, which can deploy around the upper body and provide a highly distinctive armored silhouette.
The MG 1/100 GN-002 Gundam Dynames brings one of the most iconic members of Celestial Being's Gundam team into the Master Grade lineup with an entirely new mold and a highly detailed internal structure.
Piloted by Lockon Stratos, the Gundam Dynames specializes in long-range precision attacks. Its design is centered around observation, targeting, and accurate fire rather than close-range melee combat. Bandai's MG treatment captures this identity through the kit's extensive sniper-specific mechanisms.
The centerpiece of the model is the GN Sniper Rifle. Unlike a simple handheld weapon, the MG version includes a deployable support stand that allows the Dynames to be positioned close to the ground in its characteristic sniper stance. This creates a highly recognizable display configuration directly inspired by the anime.
The head is also specially engineered for sniper poses. Its mechanisms allow the targeting configuration to be reproduced while maintaining the Dynames' distinctive head design.
The legs feature dedicated articulation designed around the sniper position, allowing the mobile suit to lower its body and stabilize itself while aiming the GN Sniper Rifle.
Another major highlight is the GN Full Shield. The large shield system can deploy around the front and sides of the Gundam, creating a protective configuration while maintaining access to the weapons. The kit includes the components necessary to reproduce the shield's characteristic deployment.
The Dynames is also equipped with two GN Beam Pistols, each stored in a dedicated holster. These compact weapons provide the model with a close- and medium-range option in addition to its primary sniper equipment.
The MG kit includes two GN Shields as well, expanding the number of defensive configurations that can be displayed.
The waist and knee sections feature opening hatches that reveal missile and signal flare equipment, while the GN Thrusters can be deployed to expose additional mechanical detail. These small mechanisms help distinguish the MG version from simpler 1/144 releases.
The overall armor uses carefully separated molded colors to reproduce the Dynames' recognizable green, white, gray, and yellow appearance. Combined with the MG-scale internal mechanics and included marking stickers, the finished model has a highly detailed appearance without requiring extensive painting.
